You may be thinking, 'who is this A.A. Milne person?'. Well, he's the wonderful man who wrote the Winnie The Pooh
book series of course! Silly old bear. XD
I've had a long, LONG love for Pooh running the span of practically my whole life. I've always been a fan. I've seen ALL the movies (as well as most of the tv shows) based on his life in the Hundred Acre woods. My second birthday party was Pooh inspired. Over the span of my lifetime I can't count how many dolls, plushies, and toys I've had of him and his friends. For Pete’s sake, my nursery theme was Winnie the Pooh! So I thought I’d show my appreciation for him by letting him start my 2013 ABC Challenge!!!(Although, on second thought and rather strangely, I've never read the full series. I'll have to change that in the future I think.)
Now onto the nails…
I think these are really sweet, cute and playful. I’ve wanted to get my hands on this stamping plate for a while now and to my surprise I found it in my stocking this Christmas Morning! Needless to say, I’ve been itching to use it ever since. I think the bee’s are adorable and the stripes not only remind me of a bee, but also of Winnie the Pooh’s swimsuit
in the new 2011 Disney movie
. Way too adorable for words!
The only thing I don't exactly LOVE about this manicure is the color. I only had a bright yellow in my stash and no golden-yellow crèmes. THIS NEEDS TO CHANGE!!!!
So on a side-note, if anyone could suggest a not terribly expensive polish that closer resembles Pooh’s golden-yellow color I’d greatly appreciate it. Sort of like Nail the B.Y.T.C.H.’s Not Ya Honey? Honey! but not over $12 with shipping, if you catch my drift.
EDIT: I found it!!! After a couple months of searching, I found my Pooh Bear color. I'm proud to announce that I now own The "IT" Color by OPI
. This golden yellow creme is the exact shade I've been searching for. And it didn't break the bank too much. You can purchase this polish on eBay for $7.50 shipped.
Oh, and yes I do have a Winnie the Pooh band-aid on my middle finger. If you look close enough you can see Tigger. XD Maybe he's ready to bounce?
I hope you enjoy!!!
