Hercules!

Okay, so they're not exactly based on the literal translation of the guy, but the Disney movie from 1997. So sue me... I'm a Disney kid!!!

I'm so old I remember seeing this in movie theaters when it came out in 1997. I really liked it and it introduced me to the greeks gods and made me interested in the legends. Plus, what's not to like? Herc is darn cute!!! I also loved Hercules: The Animated Series, which is about young Hercules learning/training to become a god. That show was HILARIOUS!!!

What each nails means:
* Pinky: Hades, the God of the Underworld. In the movie he had flames for hair and they happened to be blue. You can check out a reference here if you wish.
* Ring: Thunder Bolts are big in this movie. Zues uses them as weapons. Enough said.
* Middle: This nail represents Mount Olympus, home of the gods. Here is the reference picture I used. It's very colorful and made up of lots and lots of clouds. Everything has a glow and seems so magical.
* Index: The architecture of the movie. Yeah, sort of a cheat, but I feel like the architecture is a big part of the movie and needed to be represented. Plus, it's a big part of the greek culture.
* Thumb: The medal that Zues gives baby Herc at the beginning of the movie. It proves that he was, indeed, born from the gods. I'm surprised that I did this so well, btw. REFERENCE

Well, I hope this makes you want to whip out your old VHS and watch the movie. And I hope you enjoy!!!
